Annual General Meeting

 

All members are given notice that the 7th Annual General Meeting of the North Loose Residents Association will take place at Eling Court Community Room, off Hilden Shaw, Maidstone, on

 Saturday 20 March 2010 at 11am

 The chief items on the agenda will be to receive reports from the retiring executive committee, election of a new committee for 2010/11, receive the accounts, and to discuss any motions submitted as below.

Under the terms of our constitution, all existing executive committee members will stand down, although they may seek re-election.   The format is that members will be asked to vote first on the appointment of the officers of the Association: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Secretary. The meeting can then elect up to, but not more than, five other members to sit on the executive committee.

Nominations for the posts of officers or committee members shall be in writing, and shall be signed by a proposer and a seconder, both of whom shall be members of the Association.   The nominee must also be a member of the Association and must sign the nomination form.  Forms are available in the February issue of our newsletter.

Each member has the right to attend and vote at the AGM as well as being nominated for election to the executive committee.    The Secretary must receive nominations in writing 7 days before the AGM, ie by 11am on Saturday 13 March 2009.

Any member may propose a motion to be discussed at the AGM, provided that written notice of the proposed motion is delivered to the Secretary no later than 14 days prior to the meeting, ie before 11am on Saturday 6 March 2009.

Notices posted to the addresses provided in our February newsletter will be accepted as being delivered to the Secretary, or by email to secretary@northloose.co.uk (with appropriate form signed, scanned and added as an attachment).
